Rhythm is a fully supervised event, where young people can really enjoy themselves in a controlled safe environment. A mixture of music will be played to suit the taste of all young people. Our main priority will be the health and safety of young people, at all times.
Security
At each Rhythm event the registered venue security team, will be on hand to assist anyone at all times. Rhythm staff will also be available to assist and answer any questions.
A fully qualified emergency medical technician will be on stand by at all events.
Prior to each event the local police will be informed.
Alcohol & Drugs Policy
Drugs and alcohol are not tolerated. Only soft drinks are on sale and no alcohol branding will be displayed in the venue. All bars will have alcohol removed for Rhythm events. We will wherever possible, try to contact parents or guardians to collect their child or children, if they are found under the influence.
Searches
The Rhythm search procedure will take place before entry to the club/venue.
Searches take place primary for weapons, alcohol, illegal substances & cigarettes. Any of the above found, will be confiscated and the police may be called. Any person or persons refusing to be searched before entry will not be permitted.
All legal issues surrounding searching teenagers are strictly adhered to.
Age Restrictions
Our target age group is 13-17. Any person wishing to gain entry to Rhythm who looks over age will be asked to produce ID. We will not permit any person over the age of 17, entry to our events other than persons employed by Rhythm or the venue.
Smoking
Rhythm operates a strict NO SMOKING policy. Upon entry any cigarettes found will be confiscated. Cigarettes will not be sold at the event, so under age persons will not be allowed to purchase them. All cigarette machines in the venue will be disabled, and smoking discouraged.
Bullying
Rhythm requires all persons in the events to treat the venue and others with respect at all times. A strict anti bullying policy will operate, and if we discover any persons intimidating others or using inappropriate language they will not gain entry, or if inside the event, then they will be escorted from the venue.
Behaviour
Should we have to ask any person to leave a Rhythm event for inappropriate behaviour or because of refused entry, we will take every possible step to ensure that the venue or Rhythm staffs tries to supervise such persons until a parent/guardian is telephoned and arrive to collect them. For serious offences, the police may be called if necessary and barred from all future Rhythm events. Fighting will not be tolerated. Anyone who is caught fighting or using violent behaviour will be barred from all future Rhythm events.
Exit policy
We prefer and recommend all parents/guardians to collect their child or children at the end of all Rhythm events wherever possible.
A quiet and calm exit is expected from all persons attending Rhythm events.
Dress Code
No hooded tops, caps, tracksuits, jogging pants, studded belts, steel toe cap boots, offensive slogans, or scruffy jeans, are allowed to be worn to any Rhythm events. Jeans and trainers are Ok.
Those wearing any of the above items plus coats will be asked to leave them in the cloak room, by a member of Rhythm or venue staff. Failure to co-operate will result in refused entry to the venue.
There is a minimum charge per item for the cloakroom.
Photographs
Our own in house photographer will takes pictures of young people at Rhythm events. These pictures can be obtained by visiting our website after each event.
By entering Rhythm you give us consent to take your picture, record video footage, or sound for the purpose of the Rhythm Website.
Persons not wishing to have their picture taken or recorded must inform a member of staff on entry to all Rhythm events.
Staff
There are always polite friendly staffs around the venue to assist or help young people who may have a problem, or incident that they might want to discuss. No matter how small the problem maybe, Rhythm staff will always be on hand to assist young people. All Rhythm staff have been CRB checked.
Readmission
There will be no readmission under any circumstance once you have entered
Rhythm, No refunds will be given.
RHYTHM STAFF OR MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION.
OTHER STEPS TAKEN BY RHYTHM
• Young people will be treated with respect by Rhythm staff at all times, throughout the duration of the event.
• Their safety and overall welfare is of paramount importance to us at all times.
• Rhythm staff will always act in a professional way at all times.
• Rhythm liaises with parents/guardians to find the balance between what will satisfy the younger generation, and what will allow their children to attend Rhythm events.
• Any allegations or concerns brought to our attention at any Rhythm event will be listened to and necessary action taken.
Should any difficulties occur with any young person, our staff will only use physical contact if absolutely necessary and will avoid being alone with that young person at any time.
AFTER ALL THE SERIOUS STUFF, OUR MAIN AIM IS OF COURSE TO ENSURE OUR EVENTS ARE FUN AND ENJOYABLE FOR YOUR CHILD.
